Piotr Bukowski - born 1981. Explorative guitarist. Representative of the young generation of the Warsaw’s improviser circle. Composer of music for theaters and installation arts. Member of the Ladoabc association and label. During Warsaw’s festivals “plain.music”, “Ad Libitum”, “Zakrzywienia Igły” he was playing with (among others): Ninh Le Quan, Frédéric Blondy, Axel Dörner, Mattin, Thomas Lehn, Gary Shmith, Andrew Sharpley, Luc Ex, Sophie Angel, Raphael Rogiński, DJ Lenar, Zdzisław Piernik. Member of the post-rock band “Stwory”, he leads also electronic, author’s project “Xenons” (8-bit chiptunes).
Adam Gołębiewski - sociologist, studying musicology, percussionist.
He sees free, non-idiomatic improvisation in music not only as an amalgam of participants' aesthetics but also conciously as a practice of dialogue, compromise, humility and their opposites. He isn't a part of any ongoing project, mainly he is involved in ephemerical, often one-off ensembles.
Patryk Lichota - musician, composer, improviser, sound engineer, graduate of culture studies at University in Poznań, where he now studies musicology and cognitive science. He plays saxophone, theremin, zither, bass guitar, laptop. He is an author of radio dramas, music for theatre: "Układanka", "Bez podłogi" (by Robert Jarosz), "Jarzenie" (by Teatr Palmera Eldritcha), "Granica Pętli" (by Prefabrykaty). He also created music for multimedia-theatre piece "Głosy" (a part of "Obchody 70. rocznicy wybuchu II Wojny Światowej") and soundspace of "Symbolatorium" (The Mysteries Project Theatre). He collaborates with performance duo of Agata Elsner / Ewa Janicka (sounds in their pieces "Podejrzane", "Flow", "Imponderabilium"). Together with Piotr Tkacz he co-runs radio show Audiosfera in radio Afera. Founder-member of kakofoNIKT, he is also active in bands Mnoda and Kurort. He has played and/or recorded with Blanka Dembosz, Calyton Thomas, Piotr Mełech, Jeff Gburek, Jakub Paczkowski. He co-organized the first edition of the FRIV festival.
Piotr Mełech - clarinetist, composer, active member of Poznań's improvised music scene. Co-creator of Enterout Trio, Tfaruk Love Comunication, MPPG Quartet, Duo Odux (with Ksawery Wójciński), Yazzbot Mazut, he performed and/or recorded with Patryk Lichota, Piotr Tkacz, Sebastian Grzesiak, Michael Zerang; he collaborates with Teatr Strefa Ciszy (music for their piece "Kwatera") and theatre ensemble Kapral Feat. De Kolt (music for "Bad Song") and with Poznań's poets - Edward Pasewicz and Szczepan Kopyt. He was a part of previous FRIV festiwal and I Lublin Jazz Festiwal.
Radek Włodarski aka Radar - he plays on analagoue synthesizers. Graduate of Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, he deals with sound since 1994, mostly exploring areas of improvisation in the context of non-verbal communication. He started in a group called Psychopata Nie Ma Brata, which was inspired by musique concrete and bruitism. He was also active in a trio FDP, where improvisation tied together elements of industrial, noise and ethnic music. He was also a member of Poznań's noise-band Kaleka, where he was playing synthesizer as well as harmonium. His next project, Sonda was directed toward electronic, minimal music and dark ambient. Participant of first FRIV festival.
Piotr Tkacz - in improvisation he uses turntable with objects, sometimes laptop and radio. He is involved in projects such as: Revue svazu českých architektů (with Hubert Wińczyk), Kurort (with Patryk Lichota and Paweł Bukowski), Radioda (with Mikołaj Tkacz). He also writes about music and organizes concerts (e.g. previous FRIV festival).
Krzysztof Trzewiczek - musician, artist, programmer. He studies Intermedia in Cracow's Academy of Fine Arts, he creates music software and interactive systems for theater. He collaborated with artists such as Jan Peszek ("Ryzyko - Studium pojęcia"), Magdalena Ciopińska ("Fałdy pamięci"), Maciej Byliniak ("Bruno Schulz: 12 Prób"), Paweł Passini ("Hamlet 44"), Wojciech Blecharz, Michał Zadara. He performed with Audrey Chen, Joan Laage, Dominiką Szalą, Phil Palmer, Mikołaj Pałosz, Lucio Capece, Tomasz Chołoniewski.
